Setting Employee Communication Preferences

At InCheq, we know that every organisation and employee has unique communication needs. To ensure that each employee receives survey communications in their preferred way, our platform allows you to set communication preferences individually for each employee. This ensures surveys are delivered in a way that best suits each team member.

How Communication Preferences Work

When deploying a survey, our system will automatically detect each employee’s set communication preference. You can choose one of three deployment options on the deployment settings screen:

  1. Email and/or SMS: The survey will be sent according to each employee’s communication preference.
  2. Email Only: All employees with a valid email will receive the survey via email.
  3. SMS Only: All employees with a valid phone number will receive the survey via SMS.

How to Edit an Employee’s Communication Preference:

  1. Sign in to app.incheq.co 
  2. Navigate to the Account page
  3. Click the Employee Management tab
  4. Find the employee you'd like to edit, click the ellipsis (…).
  5. Select Edit Employee 
  6. In the Communication Preference dropdown, select Email, SMS, or Email and SMS.
  7. Click Save and Exit

Setting communication preferences helps streamline survey delivery, making it easy to reach employees in the way they prefer.

Important Note

Communication preferences are initially set based on available contact information:

  • If an employee only has an email, the default preference is set to email.
  • If both email and phone number are provided, you can choose between email, SMS, or both.
